i have done some deer heads and am currently working on a lifesize fawn i got the form in and the head is detachable at the shoulders i am wondering the best way to go about mounting should i go ahead and attach the head to the form now and do the clay work around the shoulders or insert the head in the cape attach the head and try to get the clay where i need it the form is standing on all fours the cape is dorsel cut any help is appriciated fred

I like to mount the body and then reattach the head to the form. Some forms because of the way they are built (leg posititon etc)you need to mount the animal without the head on. Then you will place the head in the form and reattach it to the form. To glue it in place you can use Epo-Grip or Bondo.
