OK, lets assume I know nothing about cleaning animal skulls for display. How do I go about cleaning them without buying a lot of expensive chemicals or supplies. I'll only be working with small skulls, nothing larger than a doe skull. I went out and bought Borax because I've heard that it can be used for something but I don't know what to do with it. The way I was told to clean them is by placeing them in water and changing the water every week, then use peroxide or something. I 'm not sure what to buy and where to but it. In the past when I soaked skulls they got soggy and fell apart at the seams. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want nice clean, white skulls that don't fall apart. (I found out bleech was very bad to use.) Again, assume I know nothing and am on a tight budget. Thanks a lot. Joe

OK, lets assume you know nothing about this site, and don't know what to do with it. Well of you backtrack to the opening page it will tell you about how to use it. Lets assume you can read, even on this particular page there is to the right a word called search. You hit the search and it provides a place to type words like "skull cleaning". then in about 15 seconds there appears a number of previous posts that have been archived for your reading pleasure. This can be done for "peroxide" or "Borax" or any question you mind might congure up. Even on a tight budget, we can assume that you can read all of the responces previously given for the last two years on this site. And lastly, we will assume you will find the information you want.
Read the RULES again. This beginner has a question and looks to people who have experience for advice maybe they missed the search link as I did when I first came to the site. What you did is in paragraph 5 of the RULES ì belittled, and humiliate ì. People come here to get information not to be shot down for asking a simple question. You could have just posted something let's say like this " check out the search it has a lot of information on this topic ".

Hey Joe,
I am sorry about the stupid a-hole the typed that message to you. Im sure his work reflects his attitude. Sucky attitude, sucky work and no customers. He didn't even leave his e-mail address so we could thank him for pointing that important information out to us. I will be glad to help you. If you want a cheap way to get nice skulls. Take the skull and boil it. Don't boil it to long, just long enough to losen the meat. (DO IT OUTSIDE)If boiled to long, it will make the bone brittle. After the meat is lose, remove what you can with forceps and then take it on over to the car wash. Take the pressure washer and remove the harder spots. Allow the water to dry. Then go over to a hair supply place and get some powdered hair bleach and some peroxide 30%. Mix these two together and paint it all over the skull. Allow it to set for two days and then wash off. Your skull will be white and clean.
