I am confused. I am really confused.

I keep hearing questions about DP Borax Salting and hair falling out
or slipping. I'm an amature this hobby. Ilearned from an old guy how
to do birds first. After perfecting my bird work I learned his way to do
fur animals. We skinned then fleshed ,and agood salt watersoaking for no
no less than 30 minutes. Then I rinsed the hide out good. After this
I used ablow dryer to dry the fur some. Before pulling the hide on I rubbed
Borax into the skin. I've never had noticable shrinkage and no hair slippage.
Some mounts ten years old and still look good. Now after hearing about
DP I bought some from WASCO. Are all DP the same? WASCO tells nothing
about putting lysol in the DP solution with the water. [a supply company] says to add
add it to the water. Do I skip the salt bath to set the hair? Will
someone please give me the simple solution. I really do even want to work on
on anything else till I know. I wont waste my time or money because
I dont like mistakes. So far I know I read to many forums. Thanks.

I am still a rookie only been in it for about 3 yrs. and i will never use dp. on anything but some bids, and squirrels.every thing else use a good soak tan like lutan-f,or a good cream tan from what i understand will last for ever.A perfect example got a deer head that was mounted a bout 5 years ago with dp. to re do, took cape off of form and found dry rout, mold, and dead bugs.F DP.!
