i am wondering if anyone has tried to soften a deer hide using the liqua soft tanning methed and how good the results were any help is appiciated thax fred

As soft as the person woking the hide. There really is no product out there that will just give you a soft hide. To achive what your looking to do you need to do certain things.
1 Your hide must be shaven down properly.
2 You need to follow and tan the hide properly.
3 You need a tumbler or some other way (manually)to break your hide as it's drying. This is the major step that gives you a soft hide. For a person himself trying to do this on his own is a hard but an enjoyable process if he chooses to do it. This way you may want to do your own or like the rest of us- send it to a quality tannery. Let them do the work. It's cheaper in the long run.
