I am working on my first turkey.I have it fleshed, degreased, and is in the Liqua-cure right now. It will be a couple of days till I have time to finish mounting it. What is the best way to store it until I'm ready to mount it.

Freeze It

I usually freeze until I am ready to start work, although your turkey may take a few hours to fully defrost again. If it was very fresh when you got it then it should be OK to keep it in the fridge a couple of days.
Good luck Brad !

hi i have used that liqua cure on ducks and have had problems after the duck was done it seems like it leaves oil on the skin when it drying it leaks out a bit I asked on of the top duck taxidermist in canada about it alls he said that it didnt suprise him then he said make your own a turkey may be different i never did one but when i take the body out of ducks and cant finish it i fill the inside with borax and put it in the fridge if not longer then the night or then i put it in the freezer if its going to be longer then the night i wouldnt start to wash it with anything until you were going to stay at it until it was finished but thats just me good luck
