I've only seen a few ears done, and have done even less myself. The times that I have seen went real well by just using bondo to fill the ears with no liners. Are the liners used with the bondo or as a completely seperate method?

this is a volatile issue on this forum and nobody will probably answer you I thought I would give you a little advice. Either method works. The problem is that one method or the other works better for others. I use bondo in most of my commercial and competition work. The ONLY time I do not use it is in competition WT work where there is MUCH prejudice against it, although Joe Meder just did a seminar at our show and he used bondo, and if it is good enough for him I don't believe that it can be ALL that bad. Earliners when used with epoxy are a good method also. I will say in order for bondo to work (here is where most people screw up) you have to clean and dry the ear, cut the bondo 50/50 with resin and add fiberglass chop. If you do this there is no problem with it. If you use straight bondo the ears may cup and they are prone to drumming. Tiger hair bondo already has fiberglass in it. It works great.

where can you buy the tiger bondo?
You can buy it from an autobody supply store.
