permits to do work for others

Been practicing taxidermey for about a year now and really starting to get the hang of things I've had a few people ask me to mount some birds for them but I don't have a permit I live in mich. can anyone tell me where to get a permit for this also for doing migratory birds maybe I can make a few dollars doing something fun instead of working hard thanks for any help on this subject

Remember all the talk about taxidermists not getting to hunt and fish is true. I've been at this for three years now and I love what i do but i dont see the woods as much as i used to.

Check with your Department of Natural Resources to get your state
license. And check the archives for the department of fish and wildlife for the federal permit. As far as the migratory birds are concerned.

migratory bird work with out a permit is a federal offense, get the permit, please.
good thing janet reno isnt in office anymore or you could wake up to some tanks and federal agents in your yard..oops, probably not funny
