1 quart hydrogen peroxide (the cheap stuff from the drug store)
1 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon of dawn dish soap

Mix well and use it like shampoo. Works best when it's fresh. Use the excess on your dog. This works on ANYTHING even skunk!

Two words of caution though:
1)Test it first. It could change the color but I haven't seen that happen.
2)Don't mix it by shaking it in a bottle. It might blow up.

That's ¼(1 fourth)cup of baking soda. Not 1 full cup.

always worked for me. I'm not trying to be a smartass, those two methods truly remove odors. Spray on, wipe on tans I neither trust or
know enough about to be able to trust, I just see alot of folks having trouble [like this one often] in using them. You say ut's already
mounted so my solution is null and void. At this stage I'd make a corn starch "gravy", rub it on with the lay off the hair and let it dry.
Knock it off with a wire brush, this should take the brunt of the aroma out, then you left with topical applications like **Fabreeze, or
*Nil-odor, the first being available locally, the latter through Bob's taxidermy and research,
