I will be working on a cape that has been in the freezer for 2+ years . Could this cause alot of slipping while skinning?

James if the cape was in good shape when frozen and was baged up good it should be fine.Treat it like any other green cape.

James, I just mounted one that had been in the freezer for two years. The only problem I ran into was the ears were freezer burned bad. I just salted like normal, rehydrated, put in pickle. After two days in the pickle the ears were soft and i very gently turned the ears. I then put it back in the pickle for two more days and fleshed and mounted as usual. It turned out really nice.
