I am scheduled to take the State of Maryland Taxidermy License written exam. I have been studying the Breakthrough Mannuals on Mammals, Birds & Fish, concentrating on field care, skinning, skin structure, the tanning process and MD State law reguarding taxidermy. Are there any other sources or topics that I should study to prepare for this test. I have tried to get some feedback from the State Taxidermy Assn. but todate have had none. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I would assume they will spend a lot of time on regulations and laws, also legal and illegal specimens. You may want to spend a little time on proper tagging, and recordkeeping. Good luck!
