I always here that there's no such thing as a dumb question, so here goes. When setting deer eyes(I'm new at this)I don't know which way the eye is supposed to go. What I mean is, is the "buldge" of the eye which I guess is the cornea, is it supposed to point to the front or back? I hope ya'll understand what I mean by this. When you set the eye down flat on the table, one side sticks up more than the other. Which end is this supposed to be. Thanks for helping us rookies.

I want to congratulate you one being "smart" enough to use a good eye in the first place. The cheaper "production" grade eyes don't have ANY bulge and more closely resemble a marble cut in half (Like I used to use 40 years ago). The eyes you have will accent your work well. The bulge always goes toward the nose
Thanks for the help.
Don't be embarassed. I have actually in the PAST mounted ONE deer with the "bulge" in the eyes, in the back and not the front. It took me awhile to figure out why the deer looked "googly-eyed". When I figured it out, you can bet I STILL double check the "bulge" position every time I get to the eye work!
We all make idiotic mistakes, but not because we are idiots.
Told a young competitor that he had placed a 220 aspheric deer eye in backwards, 220 has no front or back for those newbies out there. Yes I did see the critique sheet.
