Bird Mounts

Wanting to learn to do bird Taxidermy and have Pheasant and chukar accessible and I am wondering how hard of birds thes are for a beginner?

Thousands of rookies and amateurs have proven you don't need much skill to mount a pheasant. I have seen those "crippled" birds all over the midwest. They are easier than waterfowl due to the lack of connective fat tissue which makes prepping the skin easier. Both have rigid flight feathers which are eash to arrange and display. Both also have thick, long feathers which hide rookie mistakes, and neither is so small that it takes a geisha's hands to work on them. the pheasant mounting kits that are available are a good place to start. Get a good reference video and take off........Good luck..
