How big of an air compressor do I need to run a flesh-all mini-flesher? At what air preasure works best and how much volume do I need? I checked the archives, but can't find what I'm looking for. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Jan

It will take a pretty good compresser to run it properly. You can get away with a 2 gal 2horse power to run it but it may run out of air at times.
I like to run it at 60-70 psi for best shaving but I have also ran it at 45 psi. Always have a sharp blade in it. It takes pratice to use it but it's a nice tool.
PS then I found the eager beaver.
I can't guarantee my info unless I come across the instruction sheet, but I believe the recomended compressor is a minimum of 3hp. I think the recomended max. pressure is 55 psig. I run mine with a 5hp. craftsman with a fairly large tank and the compressor runs nonstop while I am using the flesher.
Don't forget to wear earplugs!
Jan I 've used a mini flesher for years with much success but I prefer the foredom model over the air driven version. The foredom model is much quieter, easier to use and much less tiring. You control the speed of the blade with a foot pedal which frees your hand up a bit. Just seems alot less awkward.
Max pressure is 90psig. I knew I should have checked before I spoke.
