Rookie Needs Help With Whitetail Ears

Submitted by Mark on 8/14/01. ( ) 63.71.2.81

Just getting into Taxidermy and so far on each of the 4 shoulder mounts I have done this year the inside of the ears turned yellowish-brown after the mounts dried. How do I prevent this from happening? Thanks.

Any body that has used ear liners and the bonded ear method can tell you ,you retain more natural color with the bondo method, and you get a more natiral shape.Hope this helps..........

ALSO PAINT PINK/FLESH WHEN FINNISHING MOUNT.brush hair.

You can mix paint with your ear glue which will help color the inside of the ear.
