I have a large bass to mount and the spiney dorsal fin has
its skin missing between the 2nd and 3rd spine. Any suggestions
on how to repair this.

if it is just the webbing use silk span and mod podge

Morris, possibly the easiest way is to simply tape back of the fin with transpor tape. The apply whatever flexible fin finish you use. After painting you will never notice the tear. Virtually every fish that I do has this sort of fin damage.

Try regular toilet paper and mod podge. I have used it many times for repaires.
