the back

Ralph start at the base of the tail and cut forward toward the back of the neck.
keep your blade under the hide so as not to cut alot of hairs off while you
are making the cut forward toward the back of the neck.
But First lay the coyote on its belly, part the hair down the middle of its back and get
it as straight a part as you can get so you have something to go by when
making the cut. you shouldn't have to go much past the shoulder blades
to get the head out. When you make the cut and start opening it up you
will know when you get to the point that you can take the tail out. I always
take the tail out first before working my way up to skinning out the head. You
will more than likely need to make cuts on the back of each leg when you
get down toward the ankles, maybe sooner. Some people split the tail. If
you do this, split it from the underside.
I don't answer questions too often because I have a feeling I ramble
too much. I see alot of people on here who can explain things very quickly.
Anyway Good Luck.
Bob

Ralph,

I would HIGHLY recomend that you purchase yourself "Mammal Taxidermy Manual" by Breakthrough! It will take you step by step through all the diferent procedures of skinning, fleshing, tanningand mounting. It even goes into mannikin alterations and finishing techniques.
Most suppliers carry the Breakthrough series.

Hvae a great day,
Dave
