I have been hooking snappers for some time now and the shells have been a by-product. I have just hooked a few rather lardge ones and I was wonder what my options are for making something nice out of a shell or two. Any information, ideas, or how to tips would be great.

Hello, it all depends how creative you are. A friend of mine in Alabam does native american indian stuff and she used to make small possibles bags out of them using scarp deer skin and beads. The kind you would carry your powder horn in andf such. I also know a guy who varnishes the show side and installs a simple cheap clock mechanism you can get at any hobby type store and then numbered the front in gold leaf. It was pretty cheezy looking, but he sold a lot of them for hunting cabins etc. You are only limited by your imagination. There re people out ther that will buy anything unusual so just be creative. If you installed soft leather side panels like the old hunter on the bugs bunny cartoons I am sure bikers would by em! as helmets!

How about Bird feeders or backwoods Bird water baths hanging out on a branch to collect water ?Must hang them out of reach so Coyotes dont carry them off?You can decorate them and use as a wall hanger or hang them up in your Garage till next Black Berry picking time to use them to gather and carry berrys in?If you advertize them along with their frozen skulls? Someone may buy them here if you state the size of the shells and skulls?
