On life size mammals after tube skinning the legs and tail, how do you re-invert?, or turn the legs and tail right side out? I saw the answer to a similar post not too long ago, but I could not find it in the archives under inverting legs. Thanks

Tail are very tuff to reinvert, you may have to cut down the length. If you are having truoble on legs, it is because you left to much tissue in the foot, Every bit down to the claw must be removed, on cannines ( Red Fox, Gray (are not felines)Fox, Coyotes, Wolf) you may need a additonal cut on the side of the lower leg to aid in removal of tissue and reinverting.
You can also attach fishing line throw the pad of the foot (before you invert them) to help "pull" it back through (right side out)but do it slowly and carefully or you may have a mess.

After skinning I always rinse off most of the dirt with cold water.
On that point I reinvert the legs by hand as far as it goes and fill the partly reinverted leg with water and squeeze the water bobble to the feet and that reinvirt the leg. It,s quick and never fail and no strain on the fur or skin.

We do this all the time after the first drumming. Just put your ear splitters in the leg and squeeze, you'll make the leg shorter and fatter and the foot will come through easier. You might also need to do exactly what John said if they still won't come through. If you have the foot almost all the way through, but can't quite finish it, hold the skin by the upper part of the leg, and swing the foot part at a board so the paw actually goes over the board. This will cause it to "whip" over the edge of the board, and the increased force will help pop the foot through as it wraps around the board, we just use the baffle on the sawdust drum.
