I just graduated from the Rinehart School of Taxidermy and am looking forward to starting my new career. I just want to thank everyone this web site that takes the time to help beginners like myself. After reading through the forums and knowing there are people out there willing to help I feel confident I can overcome any obstacle that I may be confronted with. I do have one quick question. Is there anywhere I can buy taxidermy receipts or does each taxidermist make up there own? Thanks again for all your help!

Hey Brad, I'm going to go out on a limb here

WASCO and Ken go to great lengths to make this site available to all, Rhinehart has tried to turn taxidermy into so much "model building" with their pre set eyes etc. When someone recommends WASCO for a product lets just consider it "their credit due" and leave it at that. Maybe I'm out of line here, but it just irks me when someone over rides a suggestion for a WASCO product to another company on WASCOS sight. I for one am graciously appreciative for the wealth of information WASCO's sight affords. Or does no one remember when everything taxidermy was "top secret" Just had to speak my piece, go ahead and let me have it. I have thick skin.

And to their credit

I've never seen Ken delete or edit an entry or thread simply because it shined a favorable light on a vendor competing with WASCO for your business dollar. In fact, I believe I've seen some criticisms aimed at WASCO even posted here. I think it's great and says a lot about thei integrity and proffesional character that they are willing to post even the not-so-good stuff and allow us to formulate our own informed opinions. Kudos!

When you're good

I'm fairly new to this site but it's my favorite. I'm just getting back into taxidermy. I have my home study course that's thirty years old. I'm in my late forties and haven't taxied anything since I was sixteen. I apologize to WASCO I purchased some of thier Breakthrough Manuals from a competitor recently but, I didn't know about them at the time. I've since ordered thier catatog if their other products are as good as thier manuals I've missed out.
Sorry got away from the point. If you're good as I think these people are you don't have to worry about competitors. Kinda like you're on top of the pile. People copy you and compare themselves to you because they feel your the best.
Sorry I'm long winded today.
Bob
