Hi,
I'm doing a coyote as my first attempt at taxidermy.I purchased the Breakthrough Mammal taxidermy book as well as a video from Van Dyke's and everything has been going good until I got to the earliners.
My problem is that the earliners are about an inch too short.I only see one size of earliners in Van Dyke's catalog. Is it possible to use Epoxy sculpt in the ear tips to "extend" the earliners or should I put the coyote back in the freezer and try to find bigger earliners?
Thank you,

Make sure that the ear liner fits loosly first, if it is to tight it will drum.
Extend the earliners with Bristol paper and duct tape. Tape inside with a single piece of duct tape, trim and fit bristol paper and add duct tape to the other side to sandwich the paper. Trim to contour with scissors......done
Thank You John and Cur !

Try Jan`s earliners out of WASCOs catalog...they are some of the best I`ve used.
It seems to me that the plastic earliners are always short and the
ear butts are nowhere near being acurate...You can just use epoxy all
by itself but ya have to babysit it while it sets up...
