After being an avid hunter for years, I ran across this website while surfing the web one day. After reading nearly everyday for months now, I want to try my hand at it. I think it will make a great hobby as I have no desire to do this for pay. I have ordered the manuals from WASCO and beginner kits to do a few squirrels to see if I have any ability in this area.
Squirrel season opens in a few weeks here in Florida and I am going to skin and save several to practice with. My question is, what is the best way to prepare the hides for freezing? Do I need to salt or anything before I freeze them or just fold them up and freeze them. Thanks ahead for any help on this.

NO SALTING if you are freezing!
repeat NO SALTING!
Fold them skin to skin.
Good Luck!
