which tan?

I was just wondering if the citric acid tan works?im just starting on my first cape,half way through the tanning procedure.j.a.t.
any input would be helpful.

If your half way throught tanning, you should have pickled already.
Did you use it and want to know if it works?
Citric acid is a great pickle.

I'm going by the step by step professional tanning sytem by Jim Allred. I guess what it boiles down to is im worried the hair might fall out or something,this is my first tan.

I'm on step 7 ph level at 4,I skipped the tan bath because lack of tumbler? the skin is very flexable,but lost a little bit of the blue tint


Citric pickles - it doesnt tan!

Citric Acid is used to pickle the skins while you prepare them for tanning afterwards. By itself - Citric Acid is only a tempoorary preservative - not a way to actually "tan". Once you wash the skin in a Baking Soda solution to neutralize it - the effects are gone. Then you would tan the skin with a tanning agent like EZ-100, Lutan F (N), or Chrome.
