Waterfowl Illustrated by Trisha Veasey, available at Borders and most quality book stores, it may even be in the back of Breakthrough or Taxidermy Today. I know I recently saw it somewhere for around 25.00$. Well worth every cent
Join Ducks Unlimited. The magazines are filled with lots of pictures of waterfowl in different poses.

For flying: "Prarie Wings" by Edgar Queeny [I think]
For standing, swimming, preening, etc.: "Waterfowl Studies" by Bruce Burk [Burke?] and "The Great Gallery of Ducks" by LeMasters
Keep an eye out for waterfowl calendars, coffee table books, wildlife magazines, and DO join DU.
I think collecting reference material is as rewarding as collecting anything, and a lot more useful.

I concur with Brent, DU to me has some of the best photo's around in their magazine. The get your mind thinking of some neat poses and base work.
