Ok well i am a beginner and i just got the deer foot thermometer kit, and i was skining the deer foot, and got to the hoofs. well there is still a bone inside the deer foot and i wasnt sure weather it was sopposed to come out because it wouldnt come out. and the book shows that there is no bone in the hoof, i was just looking for the best way to get it out. the rest of the leg is off so its just the small bone inside the hoof.
any help would be great.

Is all of the bone removed that is to the last knuckle. If not it takes a good sharp scapel and some careful skinning to get that part out. I try to get the tendons cut and get a slotted screwdriver in there and pry it away then cut the rest off. There's no real easy way to do it. It just takes time.
Best way in the world to clean a deer hoof all the way down to the nail is to use a curved bladed fish shear. Rounded points keep you from puncturing the skin and slide under the knuckle to cut the sinew and pop the complete toe out. Then, if you aren't using a Buckeye deer foot form, order one. They fit PERFECTLY without all the clay and papier mache. Best there is on the market.
thanks guys ive just about finished it and it looks great.
