Doing a yote pedistal mount with a small habitat. I built up a regular mount to look like a pedistal mount, but i am going to use a piece of ready rod to attach to the habitat through a piece of wood, and be able to tighten it up with a washer and nut. Where do i insert the ready rod into the mannikin. This is my first mount like this.THanks Tom H.Oh and if it turns out okay i will enter it into a show.

Where ever you want it.

Tom once you decide where you want the form to touch the habitat You will know where to attach the rod. Hollow out a hole that leave 3/4" to 1" around the rod. but you should put a bend or elbow in the rod to keep it from rotating. Also put a couple of nuts on the rod. Then put the rod in the hole and fill with a pourable resin-bondo mix. Use a little magic sculpt to reshape the area around the hole and you can bolt it to your habitat. It's a good idea to test fit so it is exactly where you want it before the bondo.
