I've been studying taxidermy for about a year now, went to my first competition this last August and have completed a few mounts. My question is: What should I do to my mounts after I have completed them? Give them away? Break them down if they don't turn out very well and try again? I know I can't sell migratory games birds unless i have the proper premits and paper work. Any ideas you veterans have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andy.
If you don't collect the specimens yourself I could see where it could be a problem. Museums and schools are always appreciative of this type of donation and it is tax deductable.
