Sodium sulfate or salt?

Submitted by Bob on 11/15/01. ( rutjr@aol.com ) 152.163.188.1

Someone gave me a road killed fisher they had in thier freezer for years I just thawed it out and it has some freezer burn and kinda just dried out but not bad. It has been case skinned still has the feet in it but the pads seem dry so I didn't skin them yet I got all the fat and meat off that I could but some is just dried on.
I want to rehydrate it I went into the archives and someone said to soak them in one pound salt to one gallon of water. I also have sodium sulfate and was wondering if it would be better to soak it in that or a combination of both?
I gotta tell ya you people are awesome helping us beginners out like you do. Thank you very much!

No I would just inject them with warm water and little bactercide in it. It will rehydrate nicely.

Try using formaldehyde when you inject into parts. May smell for a time but will do a nice job
with little shrinkage and lasting results. Hope this helps.
