I have a fisher hide thats been in the freezer for several years. It's freezer burned in areas but not bad but the fat and meat is kind of dried on and I decided to wash it in a strong solution of salt, water and sodium sulfate.You would'nt believe how dirty this animal was. the water was dark brown after I finished washing it and lots of ticks around the ears. What an awesome animal I hope I can do it justice.
