If you have a machine you don't need anything else. What I do in 15 min. would of taken me 45 to an hour on a beam. If your having troubles with your machine Gerald can be of better service. He owns and runs the Quebec Lite and has a web page that explains on how to use one the right way. Hopefully he will see this post in a day or two. Also no need to yell. When typing in caps your yelling at us and we here just fine. LOL

Sorry Gerald I'm sure if I spelled the rest I would of killed your name even more.

Why go back.

Someone is feed you Bull S#!& about the beam and knife. Noone can beat the fleshing machine for a nice even cut. Been there and done that.

Want to lower your standard, you back, anyone whom claims they are better with a beam and knife never learned how to use a F-M or are to poor to buy one. For less than $1500 you can get the best one.My feelings are if you cannot afford a fleshing machine, you need to find another hobby or business. Even good word carving tools will cost this much. How about a good table saw $600 on up.

The two biggest investments we have in this industry as for tools is a AIR COMPRESSOR and the FLESHING MACHINE. less than $3000. for the best equipment. This is the cheapest, lest costley business to get into, yet everyone want to skimp on equipment to make a living.

Do you realy know how to operate your machine?

Hi Jonny,

When you wrote your message your caps lock was active and you didn't know it. I made the same misake a few days ago. When we wright in that white rectangle it's not evident. Let's get to your fleshing problem.

I met so many fleshing machine owners that have never realy mastered the ART of using a machine. It is an ART. So many manufacturers sold ther product with improper instructions (they probably didn't know how themselves), I did that mistake miself for years, Finaly I realised that the machine wasn't everything, you must learn how to use it. A machine is only as good as the operator.

I had a person in my booth with 25 years experience in tanneries, after five minutes of coatching he realised that he had very bad mistakes and couln't waith to tel his emplyees to smarten up.

I addressed some of the major problems in two articles that was published in Taxidermy Today and in Breakthrough. The latest is in my web site and the other will be ther shortly. This site (www.atreide.net/fleshing) will have a short video so you can visualise the adequate mouvement to get excellent results. We are working on it now also with our new video on how to use the Quebec Lite.

Hope this will help you, if you need coaching, give me a call, 1-800-567-5080

Gerry
