OK, Almost complete except for paint. It has been drying for about 3 weeks. Why is the inside of mouth drying up. Tongue,Gills, palatte.etc. PLEASE HELP ME. It is a Christmas gift for my hubby.

I love fishing and hope to join the tours one day. But for now I am going to try my hand in Taxidermy. M hubby finds it weird that this pleases me. But I am no scaredy cat. Guts and blood don't bother me. But I don't know how to sculpt? What would I do? Fill the mouth with Masche and then carve it out?

Get a copy of 'The Tom Sexton Fish Finishing System' manual from WASCO.
It covers the sculpting of the shrunken areas with apoxie. The manual
also covers mixing paints and the techniques he uses to paint a
largemouth bass. If you order on line you should get it in time to
study and to finish your smallie. You could also order the smallie
paint schedule from WASCO (it will give you the basic colors and
application). There is also a video available.
