Thanks for your reply on my question about aluminum sulphate, but I need to know if the liquid solution can be aplied to the hair side of the tanned cape without any harm to the hair. I know a little hair coming off of a wet cape is normal but what I've got is a little excessive.

If it is excessive slippage, you are not able to save it

It seems there is another problem going on with those capes. Try the a/s solution on the hair side. I dint know that it will help at this point.

Did you wash the capes in anything, I have seen this just the past season at another shop where the guy washed all the capes with LYSOL.

Two things that cause slippage are high pH (soaps) or bacteria. A/S is low pH so give it a try. Have you checked the pH of your solutions?

Bacteria can still grow while a cap is being salted, the body fluids has to drain away from the hide, you cannot allow them to pool on the skin.
