Use Forms

I always use forms for feet . I've tried leaving the bone in and letting them dry that way,but I've never been able to get a bolt to stay solid for any length of time.Try the new foot forms by supply Mike Noonkester Supply and Rick Carter(page 54 WASCO).They are really easy to use .I won't use anything else for feet. Follow directions carefully, use a good hide paste, and this will be a simple project for you to start working on.

Inject with formaldayde

I inject the feet and bend. tape and tie them into position. Once dry I drill a larger hole into the bone removing the core and lots of fatty deposits, next I cut a length of al-thread to go all the way to the joint where the leg turns up. Now with polyester resins mixed a little slow pour this into the leg,(dixie cup, just about 3/8 of a inch) and insert rod, now center the rod until it sets.

P.S. rinse the inside you drilled out with laq. thinner and brush a few times and let dry before pouring resin.
