After I cape out a deerhead it usually takes me about 3 nights(working 2 hours per night)to flesh the cape.My question is what is the best solution to put the cape"on hold"while I'm working on it.Should I put it in a bucket of safety acid or could I just put it in water with bacteriacide added? BTW,I mostly use the DP method. Thanks for any responses.

im not trying to bust on you but im not sure what you could be possibly doing to a cape for it to take 6 HOURS to flesh! guess that time will shorten with experience....in answer to your question refrigeration will work fine but because you are handling this cape so long i would hope you wear gloves to avoid and bacteria from starting due to the heat from your hands....also you stated you are utilizing saftee acid and the dp method....why not just go to the ez-100 solution after you pickle, garauntee you would be alot more pleased with the results....and if you are utilizing a pickle then yes you can just leave the cape in there between bouts with the fleshing.....to speed up your fleshing have you tried a fleshing beam or even what i use is an old motorcycle helmet...stretch the cape over that and go at it with a good sharp knife....
good luck
