Hello:
i just got my red fox out of the pickle, and i noticed that there is a 4 inch long section of hair that is slipping off. does anyone know what this is caused from. anything i can do to fix it? it is like the hair is just pulling away from the skin. all help and sugestions will be opreciated!

the tail. I split the tail open on the underside and salt. I have found if you just pull out tail bone and try to dump salt down opening it doesnt salt throughly and you get slippage. Could be fluids puddled on tail when draining. Bacteria is tough on foxes, could have been a number of reasons for the slipping. Hopefully that will be the only spot. You can cut area out and resew or glue hairs cut from under side to hide slipped areas after mounting...Paul
