I deside for the first time to try and mount my own deer. I figured that a European mount would be easiest. I know NOTHING about taxidermy. Please help! I was told to saok the head in bleach water to get rid of the meat & muck, so I did. Yes, no? What now? Thanks!

Get Momma's biggest pot, kettle etc. cut as much of the meat off as you can, bring the pot, plain water and a cup of laundry soap over to the stove cook the skull at 150-160 degrees F, check on skull from time to time add fresh water as it evaporates. You will see the meat pull away from the skull, you may need to scrape the skull some, to aid in removing the meat. once all meat, brain tissue is removed give it a little while in fresh water at the above mentioned temps and skim off the grease and crap before removing the skull.
To whiten it use 3% H2O2 from Walmart, use enough to cover the skull, if needed you can wrap a towel over the back of the head, over the next two days keep a close check on the skull. When done wire it outside for a few days to sun bleach.
to finish the skull off just spray LAQ THINNER on it and let dry then seal with clear.
You do not want to bleach the skull it is to hard to stop caustic action.The skull will turn chalky and start to flake and not look good.What you want to do is clean as much meat off the skull as you can.then get pan big enough to submerge head under water.while water still cold add about one third cup of baking soda put in skull add heat try not to boilor it will overflow.when water hit between170-180 check after 45min.take skull with hose try and take as much off as you can do not forget to take out brain.change water add more baking soda let go about 30min if more time needed put back add dawn dish soap.when clean take out wash any remaining meat off.pan clean water rub skull with dawn dish soap also put in brain area get water warm for about 15min when you put skull in covered in soap also add 1 half abottle hydrogen proxcide(excuse spelling no spell check)when done take out set on white towel and watch it turn white as it dries.when dry paint skull with mop and glow.when you change water in pans stain and make sure you do not loose any teeth.
