to tan or not to tan?

I know there`s a ongoing debate between DP and liquid tans,so my question is this .Would it be to much trouble to tan a squirrel with lutan f,since it`s such a small animal?Would the dry preserve be more sensible?

To Tan or Not to tan...

i tan everything i do whichincludes tree rats. My advice is to go ahead and tan it. Tanned skins are easier to work with and produce better looking mounts.

Archives and tanning

Don, George is right. There are countless posts in the archives on tanning vs DP. I look at it this way. Tanning produces way less shrinkage when properly done. Yes it involves more time, but the end result is well worth it. I pressure tan 99% of all the skins I mount including small mammals. If I could get away with it, I'd do fish this way also. Just another opinion.
