i have a deer head with a broken point. the person im doing it for wants it fixed. how do i go about doing that. what do i need to do?

John, there is alot of info in the archives (search) button. You can get antler repair kits from Van Dykes, Jonas Supply and apoxy sculp or magic sculp fpom WASCO, McKenzie Etc. Etc. Follow direction with the kit. I'll give you an idea how it is done. 1.Drill a hole in the stub area 2. Insert a wire with epoxy 3. Shape repair material in your hands and theh around the wire. 4. Wet your fingers and shape it and feather to antler 5.As it starts to set, shape any depressions or scratches. When dry, sand as needed, scratch some more if needed. 6. Stain to reach desired effect. apoxy sculpt works but dries bone white. add a few drops of waterbased yellow ocher and brown to the apoxy sculpt and mix it thoroughly. works.
