What's the best way to perserve ducks? I want to try and mount a couple of ducks I bagged this past season. Would a tanning solution work, like mixing aluminum sulfate with water. I believe 4 parts to one.

Wash with Dawn coples times and rinse well, soak in mineral spirits a 1/2 hour then Borax.

ducks are relatively difficult critters to mount. if they are nice specimens, get them mounted. if your just practicing and dont care what they look like ultimately, go for it.
