Dakota 4. I would like any buddies opinions and likes, dislikes on the dakota 4. Also would this be an adaquit machine for all deer capes and possibly a few bear hides? I mostly plan on useing it for deer and small mammals. As a beginner is this machine a good starter machine?
Thanks for your comments

Chris,
I bought the Dakota detail flesher after attending taxidermy school. I'm also a begginner and sue it for soem deer and small mammals. I just fleshed a coon with it today.
Anyhow, I think the machine works fine. I just bought the machine and built a table with 2x4's and scrap wood. I couldn't afford a full size one and I figured that for all I'm doing right now that the Dakota IV would work good. It has, no complaints.
Good Luck, Eric
P.S. If you build a table/stand make it armpit high,
I have one also and have fleshed animals as small as squirrel and mink and as large as bears and zebras on it. Just fleshed a bobcat and a coyote today. Can't beat the price and quality. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't trade it for any thing. Used 3 other at taxidermy school my self and ended up liking this one the best. Good Luck! Dan Hudzik
responses. Wanted to get alittle feed back before I bought one.I too am on a budget and need a low cost but quality flesher.
Thanks again
Chris
