I have bought some tapes on bird mounting. In these it's says to use puffed borax, is it all right to use dp or regular borax. If so do you use it the same way. Thanks

I prefer to use a Powdered Borax as it will stick to the skin much better than granular Borax that you buy at the grocery store.I also like to add a bit of it into my tumbling mix as well. Seems to give the feathers that extra sheen I like.
If you choose to use a Dp, be sure that it leans closer to the Borax side. Otherwise, the "Antimicrobial Agents", once wet, tends to thicken and dry crusty, making all the feathers stick together.
