Finished first pheasant

I just finished my first pheasant, and even though the feathers got pretty beat up (I made the mistake of drying and fluffing it in the dryer with borax) It looks better than I expected and I am pretty happy with it.Is there anything I can spray on it to help keep the dust off of it and help bring back the vibrance of the feathers? The borax seems to have faded some of the coloring out of the feathers. Thanks, Maryann

I take a little mineral spirits on a rag and gently wipe down.

Spray a light film of WD40 on it (after you dust it off) and see the colors come to life.

My experience

About 15 years ago WD 40 was the thing to use on competition mounts. I've noticed that the mounts I used it on seem to attract dust faster and hold it more than those I never used it on. Even after cleaning the mounts with solvents there seems to be enough WD 40 to attract dust. What dose an old can of WD 40 look like? This is just my experience.
