I have washed a cape after it is tanned and frozen to get rid of the excess oil, and noticed that it changed colors. It went back to white. I washed the cape with joy dishwashing liquid. Did it wash away the tan?

the Liquid tan has sweated in the cape for at least 6 hours, better overnight. Remove excess moisture by tumbling or drying with towels before freezing. Liquid tan cannot be washed out when it has absorbed into hide...Paul
