Case skinned refers to fur skins. The cut is across the inside of the back legs and the skin is tubed. Tis is how they are prepared for the fur trade.

NOT split all the way down the back of the neck....
there are many incisions that can be used...i.e.,
(the "7", short "Y", "T", modified "T". etc.)
Obviousely saves time sewing, but you trade off struggling
to pull the cape on the form!
