Tried my first set of earliners and they drummed on me. Is there any way to repair the drumming. I would greatly appreciate any input.

Try rehydrating your ear and inject some fantasticast in it. It will set up fast and hold down the loose skin.
PS. becareful not to get it on the hair. It can be cleaned up with laquer thenner.
if you tanned it, soak the ear up and then inject it with some epogrip injectable. Problem solved in 7 to 10 minutes
