Has anyone found a way to remove hot glue from hair or the backing on a fox rug?

There are lots of "things" folks are trying to remove lately, but sadly epoxy, RTV, and hot glue aren't on the list of success stories. BTW, hot glue is the poorest of poor adhesives for rug backing. Once it cools to become the flexible plastic that it is, it becomes brittle to some extent but won't adhere to the penetrated oil in the skin and will quickly disbond. I use a spray glue to "tack" the backing on a rug but then use a lock stitch to insure everything stays where it's put.
"Goo-Gone" (no joke) is an arts and crafts clean-up product which will not dissolve the thermal plastic used in hot glue guns, but will lubricate the individual hairs and possibly allow the material to be removed. Like George says, hot glue is not worth a tinker's damn for that purpose. In fact it is a lousy glue at best, and more suited to temporary junctions than permanent assignments. You may be able to remove small bits by heating with a moderately hot burning tool and soaking up the melted product bit by bit with paper toweling. If the backing material is felt, the surface should pull away and allow for resizing and burnishing to repair.
I've got a nice maroon tee shirt that I accidentally got hot glue on at school.
Being that it's a new shirt, and I'd like to wear it again, I'd like to remove the spot.
Can anyone give me some tips on how to do it as neatly as possible?
Thanks!
