rebuilding skull plate

Submitted by jharshbarger on 3/19/02. ( ) 170.158.129.59

The skull plate on a set of antlers I am using on a shoulder mount is very small. I've made it so the front aligns perfectly, yet there is a lot of space to fill from the rear of the skull plate to the top of the form. What materials should I use to fill this void while setting antlers?

[a supply company] has a product called antler set. comes in a powder, mix with water, with this you can blend skull cap in very nicely, no smell, sets up in a matter minutes and you can go right ahead and mount deer with no waiting. try it i think you'll really like it. doug
