we need all the same info in wisconsin as with waterfowl i amagine that every state is different. but you can cover your a$$ by doing every thing the same as waterfowl. theres no law about to much info.
Name, Address, City, State, Zip
Hunting or Fishing Lic#
Quantity and type of Species
State of Province Shot or Caught (or County and Lake)
Date Received, Date Shot or Caught
Home Phone, Work Phone
Signature
And exact location on the lake the fish was taken if it was a really nice one, for future fishing trips.....LOL
Just ask where they caught the fish. Most fishermen will give you their "first born child" before they reveil the lake or strean where their trophy fish came from. Check and see if your state requires it, BEFORE you ask for the information.
But I've never lost customers by asking them where they caught their fish....some are more than willing to say, and some get that "look" in their eye, which prompts me to say, "hey, just LIE about the lake." LOL
Must be a chick thing. A man obviously poses more of a "threat" to finding out the lake they caught the fish in, as I've had wonderful conversations about the same.
Going to the show this April Old Fart? Jeff and I hope to see you there!
When a man ask, the fisherman is always on guard because they are sure we are heading out to their honey hole. Fee ever think that a woman would be serious about fishing.
Hey now wait thats the way it is, this is not female bashing.
That's why I said it must be a "chick" thing. That $hit never bothered me! Men need to remain ignorant anyway.....LOL
Pete, Leanna's info will cover just about any info you would need. Remember, if your are doing waterfowl, you will need a Federal Taxiderist Permit from the USF&WS. If you go to some of the supply catalogs, they offer Record Books and Tags for recording your waterfowl with all the correct info needed. Good luck.
