Jen, Cuts on the face of , a- I'm guessing it's a deer. Are a little tricky but doable. Sew the cuts with fine thread and thin needle using small close stitches. Do this from the inside of the cape after thinning the skin so that the repair will be less noticable. Mount the cape and adjust the repair areas so the hair looks as good as you can make it. After drying the stitching will probably be visable but hopefully not too much. Very spareingly touch up the area with a little Apoxie Sculpt and texture this repair with a fine wire brush. Later a bit of air brushing will complete the repair and should be basically not noticed. As for torn lips--no problem. Mount the cape using pins to hold the torn lip as near to correct position as possible. After drying completely rebuild that lip with Apoxie Sculpt using a good reference photo as a guide. Even drastic damage can be overcome though sometimes it's not worth the extra time. When it gets too bad there's always a replacement cape for sale someplace. Enjoy, Aaron Honeycutt
