I just skinned a goldeneye and everything was alright except for the head, it was so dried that I could'nt take the head out, can I soak the whole think in a zip lock bag of water for a day or so to get the head to soak up to remove the head?

....with soapy water. Slip the needle between the skull and skin and watch it seperate as you inject the water. Make sure you get all the head! then you can submerge the head in a ngalss of cold water for 20-30 minutes. Keep the skin cool also. After this time you should be good to go. But if need be don't be afraid to repeat!
Stay clear of any prolonged soaking. Several syringes of water should solve the problem.
