1st walleye Question

I'm getting ready to mount my first walleye. I use Lifetone paints from Van Dykes. What color should I use for the golden color of a walleye? Also the eye measures 24 mm across. What size flex-eye should I order? (the last time I ordered an eyee, it was too laarge.)

try this

U use my air brush for all paint added. I use golden yellow to put in the spots first then I rehit this with a 60/40 mix of irridesent gold and bright yellow. If you have a 24mm eye get the 22mm flex eye. if you use the tohichon the you would go with the 24mm. The flex eyes are 2mm bigger at the base of the eye which is always a good thing to remember when using them.

Painting Walleye

.....I use a med yellow transparent water based paint from Van Dyke It has keeped for years and has always worked good for that golden yellow color of the walleye...Lloyd
